Design Mentorship

Learning via teaching is an extremely valuable tool for my own career.

I do this through mentorship of my teams as well as the broader design community by providing actionable coaching and design expertise, empowering mentees with practical advice, refined strategies, and motivational support to advance their careers

Growth through mentorship

Throughout the last two years, I have mentored over 150 designers at all stages of their careers, solving specific problems, giving out general advice, and giving design feedback and critique on their work.

As a mentor, I adapt my approach to suit the needs of each mentee and the context of our relationship. For team members and long-term mentees, I emphasize goal-oriented development, focusing on measurable growth over time. I guide mentees through setting clear objectives, breaking challenges into actionable steps, and refining their skills, often through hands-on modeling of best practices.

In the broader design community with shorter term mentoring sessions, my focus shifts toward storytelling, communication, and soft skills. I also serve as a sounding board and coach, helping mentees contextualize their work, refine their narratives, and build confidence. By providing actionable feedback and sharing industry perspectives, I empower my mentees to discover their strengths and communicate their ideas effectively.

Across all relationships, my goal is to inspire growth, foster creativity, and help my mentees take ownership of their personal and professional journeys.

I bring the same dedication to the teams I lead, making sure that they have al the support and guidance they need on their own career development paths.
